Operator

DayRate is operated by Mauricio Quito as an individual. Service questions may be sent to support@trydayrate.com.

Agreement and free beta

These Terms are between you and Mauricio Quito, operating DayRate as an individual, and govern your access to and use of DayRate when you accept them. DayRate is currently a free, invitation-only beta.

Before introducing a paid DayRate service, DayRate will provide updated terms and obtain your agreement to the applicable paid-service terms before charging you. Free beta access will not automatically become a paid subscription.

Using DayRate

DayRate helps independent professionals organize work and related business records. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, the work you perform, the documents you send, and your compliance with applicable laws and obligations. DayRate is a workflow tool; it does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice.

Accounts and access

Keep your sign-in details secure, use only accounts and workspaces you are authorized to access, and maintain appropriate access for your team. Report suspected unauthorized account use to support@trydayrate.com. Workspace owners and administrators control access within their workspaces.

Your content and DayRate’s service

You retain responsibility for the business data and materials you provide. You permit DayRate and its service providers to process that content as needed to operate the service and features you choose. DayRate’s software, design, and brand remain DayRate’s or its licensors’ property; these terms do not transfer ownership of them to you.

Optional third-party connections

Some features use third-party services, which may have their own terms and availability. Google Calendar connection is optional and limited to accounts explicitly authorized for the beta. Initial Google consent provides identity and calendar-list access only. Event permissions are requested separately when you choose to authorize Booking export; completing that consent or selecting an owned destination does not enable export. You must explicitly enable export when it becomes available. Export and background synchronization remain disabled during initial connection acceptance and require separate enablement.

Where Booking export is enabled, event titles use “DayRate Booking” by default. Choosing “Project name” explicitly shares the Booking’s saved project-name text with Google; review it for confidential information. Empty names use the generic fallback. DayRate does not add client records, rates, invoices, payment details or internal notes to these copies.

DayRate remains the authority for its Bookings and other business records. Disconnect does not move or delete Google events or erase DayRate business records. The handling of Google permissions, credentials and account metadata is described in Privacy.

Acceptable use

Do not use DayRate to violate law or another person's rights, access data without permission, interfere with the service, distribute harmful code, or attempt to bypass security or access controls. DayRate may restrict use that threatens the service or other users.

Availability and termination

DayRate may change or temporarily interrupt features for maintenance, reliability, security or provider reasons. Continuous availability is not guaranteed.

You may stop using DayRate at any time. To request account closure or data deletion, contact privacy@trydayrate.com. Requests are reviewed manually after identity and workspace authority are verified. DayRate does not currently provide automatic complete account or workspace deletion. Ending sign-in access does not itself erase workspace records or records belonging to other authorized users. DayRate explains the supported action, retained categories and unresolved work after review.

DayRate may restrict, suspend or end sign-in access when reasonably necessary to address suspected unauthorized access, security threats, unlawful use, violations of these Terms or a threat to the safe operation of the service. You may contact support@trydayrate.com to request review of an access restriction. Ending access does not itself erase account or workspace records. These Terms do not promise automatic reinstatement, a response deadline or deletion of records when access ends.

When Google Calendar connection is enabled, its completed disconnect operation removes the active stored OAuth credential and disables export and queued synchronization work. Google-side revocation is attempted and reported separately; if unconfirmed, Settings links to Google Account permissions for you to remove access. Other Calendar metadata and ordinary business or financial records are handled separately as described in Privacy.

Warranty and liability

DayRate is offered free of charge during its invitation-only beta.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DayRate is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. DayRate does not warrant uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free operation. The exceptions and non-waivable obligations below remain unaffected.

Subject to those exceptions and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mauricio Quito, as DayRate’s individual operator, excludes liability to you for claims and losses arising from or relating to your access to or use of the free beta, whether based on contract, tort, statute or another legal theory. This includes ordinary negligence where its exclusion is legally enforceable; software errors, inaccurate output, interruption or unavailability, data loss or corruption, and failures of connected services; and direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages, including lost profits, revenue or business opportunities, to the extent those losses may lawfully be excluded.

If that exclusion is unenforceable for a particular claim but a monetary limitation is permitted, Mauricio Quito’s total aggregate monetary liability to you for all such claims arising from the free beta shall not exceed US$100. This fallback does not limit liability covered by the exceptions below.

The warranty disclaimers, liability exclusions and fallback cap do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, reckless conduct, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These provisions do not waive DayRate’s statutory privacy, security or consumer-protection obligations, non-waivable rights or remedies, or enforcement powers of competent authorities.

You remain responsible for the information you enter and the work and documents you produce. Keep appropriate records and review documents before sending them. If any part of this section is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply only to the extent permitted by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, United States, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
